Tennis Time!

Went to the Washington Kastles' home opener last night! The weather was PURRR-fect, and we had amazing seats.

HEY Venus... come chat with me! Please? Pretty please?!

Serena (who plays for the Kastles) wasn't there of course... but she'll be hittin' the court next Tuesday. What a treat!!

Congrats!!!

OK...got to Kastles Stadium around 6:30 p.m. (game starts @ 7). The stadium is located at 11th and H Streets NW, and there's plenty of parking nearby. It's really nice!! As soon as I settled into my seat, the first thing I noticed were the Kastles Cheerleaders. What the..? Who knew?? I have lotsa love for cheerleaders, and love the sport (yes, I said SPORT) but these girls were kinda mediocre! Total of 6 ladies and they had very little enthusiasm. C'mon ladies, you gotta work DOUBLE TIME with just 6 of you on the squad! At one point, I looked over and they were attempting to rock their hips. Each girl was rockin' to her own beat. SMH. Not hating... just keepin' it real. They had cute uniforms tho! (I was going to share a pic from my high school cheering days but decided not to. I'll embarrass myself another way.)

I was really excited to see the players... especially Venus. I wanted to share the moment with you guys so here's the Kastles intro. Go ahead and enjoy the shaky video!

It was very cool seeing Venus BUT HELLO??? LADIES!! Scott Oudsema aka "Boom Boom" is really niiiice to look at in person. I've seen him on TV and in photos but he's a total hunk live and in color! He kept lifting his shirt to wipe off his sweat!! Got to see some skin. OooO wee! Oh, and he totally tried to HIT on me. How? Well, he hit the ball and it came FLYING AT ME!! I put my arms & hands up to protect my precious head and the ball literally bounced off the palm of my hand. I could have caught the sucker!! Yea, that was him trying to "hit" on me. HA! Get it?? I crack myself up. Sigh...the person sitting next to me was like "WOA, you could've caught the ball and kept it." Yea, thanks for making me feel like a loser. I screwed that one up.

Thought the Kastles played really well even though we lost. I had an amazing time. If you're into tennis, you guys should def go and check it out. More info @ http://www.washingtonkastles.com/.

Plus, you never know who you'll see/run into..
DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and his wife Michelle. They made it a family affair by bringing their twin boys & baby girl.

Former Skins Darrell Green (GO SKINS!)

Caron Butler from the Wizards was also there but he was chillaxin' in the extra VIP wine & dine section so couldn't get close enough.

Finally... ur girl spotted Fox 5's Dave Feldman in the crowd. Can't miss the red hair!!

MORE VISUALS 4 YOU...
Renee Stubbs and Leander Paes

Venus Williams

Philadelphia Freedoms huddle

Had a fab time!

Yours truly...

Good night!
